PhD students
Wei W. Chen
Wei graduated in chemistry from the University of Barcelona (UB), and holds a master degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS-URL), Barcelona). his PhD project deals with the synthesis and reactivity of high-valent halogen compounds, particularly in combination with C-B and C-Si bonds.
Raúl Cosialls
After graduating in chemistry fromt the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Raúl obtained a master in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS, Barcelona). His PhD thesis seeks to implement reaction development in biologically relevant molecular platforms, with a particular emphasis on boron-containing functional bio-materials.
Federica Rulli
Federica holds a BSc in chemistry from Università degli Studi Roma Tor Vergata in Rome. She completed an MSc from the same university, followed by a Master in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from IQS-URL. Her PhD projected involves the new synthetic strategies to access BN-isosteric polycyclic aromatic cores (BN-aromatics).
master students
María Illobre
María graduated in Chemistry from IQS-URL and completed coursework in the Master in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Her master thesis involves a joint research project between IQS and the industrial partner Lebsa.
Katrin Golob
Katrin completed her Chemistry degree at the University of Vienna, and is enrolled in the Master of Chemistry program at the same university. She joined our group in November to carry out her Master Thesis on the topic of "Iodane-guided C-H coupling reactions".
undergraduates
Tuo Chen
Tuo is a last year student in the undegraduate Chemistry Degree at the University of Barcelona. For his Final Year project (treball de fi de grau) in our lab, he is working on the synthetic applications of organo-iodine(III) compounds.
Pol Roca
Pol has completed his coursework for the Chemistry Degree at the University of Barcelona. Pol's Final Year project (treball de fi de grau) involves organo-boron chemistry and new synthetic routes in the context of BN-isosteric arenes .
